TEAL SISTERS FOUNDATION ZAMBIA
FIGHT | SUPPORT | HOPE
Teal Sisters is a community of empowered, informed and thriving women who have chosen to render support, connect, provide hope and fight together as we fight to eliminate Cervical Cancer as a health problem. It is a band of advocates, each with a very different but rather enlightening and highly empowering story to tell and share. It is, importantly, a place of healing, love, knowledge, comfort, giving hope and saving lives!
ABOUT US
FIGHT FOR THE ELIMINATION OF CERVICAL CANCER
Teal Sisters Foundation is a registered Non-Profit Organization, whose primary mandate is to advocate for the reduction of Cervical Cancer mortality and morbidity, as well as the improvement of Sexual and Reproductive Health care in both women and girls. It was initially started as a sensatization effort on a Facebook page, but it rapidly metamorphosed and grew into recruiting over one hundred thousand (100,000) members within the first two weeks of creating the facebook blog. We have survivors, patients, caregivers, well-wishers and sisters who just want to help and make a difference. This is because, cervical cancer affects us all.
MISSION
To reduce and eliminate the prevalence of cervical cancer through active sensitization on early screening, detection and treatment
Screening is the first step towards winning!!
FIGHT
Whilst Facebook has been our starting point and spring board, we have since evolved and embarked on community and rural outreach through our various advocates. You too can join us. We each have a role in this fight and your sisterhood is valued and appreciated. It is the collective efforts that will ensure that we save lives and not lose anymore sisters to cervical cancer. Let us each fight and join hands with the World Health Organization and eliminate cervical cancer.
You can help us fight for the elimination of Cervical Cancer.
